Seller protection means that the seller is covered for sales that they make directly through FINDS. You are covered for the full amount of the payment in the event that:
- The buyer claims the order has not arrived, and shipping provider has confirmed delivery.
- The buyer falsely claims that the order is significantly different to what they ordered. If you can’t come to an agreement with your buyer, this will need to be determined on a case by case basis.
Seller tips:
- Try to resolve issues amicably with the buyer first.
- Always be upfront about the condition of the item, including specific details about:
- brand authenticity
- colour
- wear / damage
- Quality check your items before you list them to avoid missing important details.
- Always send your items using a tracked service, and obtain a proof of postage receipt. If a buyer hasn't received their item and you cannot provide proof of delivery, you will not be entitled to seller protection and will need to refund the buyer. However, you should be able to claim a refund from your shipping provider as long as you have proof of postage.
- Sales made outside the app are not covered.
